Lighting the Path Forward

The 2025–2026 school year is well underway—finally settling in as autumn takes hold.

This year began with both anticipation and heaviness. Our Minnesota community entered the school year carrying fresh grief and uncertainty—reminders of how deeply our schools are connected to the world around us. Even so, teachers, educators, and staff continue to show up with courage, compassion, and care.

In classrooms across the state, educators are creating spaces of safety, belonging, and joy—places where students can learn, heal, and dream. Their work is strengthened by families, colleagues, and community partners who stand beside them, reminding us that teaching is, at its core, an act of hope.

As the year unfolds, let’s hold tight to our shared why: to uplift those who nurture learning and possibility. To every teacher, educator, and champion of teaching—thank you for showing up with heart and purpose. Together, we are lighting the way forward—one classroom, one connection, one act of care at a time.
