Thank you to everyone who came to last week's convening, Edifying, Elevating, and Uplifting Teachers of Color. It was wonderful to connect with a diverse group of champions for the teaching profession: high school and college students, teachers, and leaders from public schools, postsecondary institutions and community-based organizations.
The Elevate Teaching team is grateful and honored to be part of this collaborative convening of a community committed to and invested in supporting BIPOC individuals in their teacher journey from exploring to thriving.

More Elevate Teaching Key Message Kits have been printed! A special shout out to Generation Next for partnering with us on printing this second round. There are two-thousand kits available for distribution. We will be processing some back orders real soon. Be sure to sign up for your kits using the form below.
The Elevate Teaching Key Message Kit was developed in June and informed through deep community engagement. In collaboration with Pollen Midwest, each key message kit is beautifully designed to include all of the campaign themes featured with commissioned artwork. To date, we have distributed the first 1,000 kits and are ecstatic for the opportunity to distribute another 2,00o across the state of Minnesota!
As we continue to design and/or participate in impactful programming and activities to advance the Elevate Teaching movement, we will continue to seek funding to sustain this important work. Join Dr. Rose Chu and the Elevate Teaching team at Achieve Twin Cities'upcoming EDTalks event We Need Teachers! How to Attract and Diversify our Teacher Workforce hosted on November 13th at 5:30 pm.
This event will feature Dr. Rose Chu of Elevate Teaching, Joshua Crosson of EdAllies, and Haben Ghebregergish from High School of the Performing Arts, who will discuss the reasons why the teaching profession continues to lack diversity and what we can do to fix it.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with complementary hearty appetizers and drinks available for purchase. The program begins at 6 p.m. sharp with two EDTalks presentations, followed by Q & A that allows opportunities for audience conversation with our presenters and deeper dives into the evening’s topic.
