Cultural Competency Workshop

FREE!

Participation in this FREE six-hour workshop fulfills the Minnesota requirement to complete Cultural Competency Training for teacher license renewal. Workshop will include an asynchronous pre-event reading assignment. PELSB-certified trainers from Elevate Teaching and AmazeWorks will facilitate the sessions.  Designed especially for international teachers, this workshop will include an information session with an immigration attorney.

The PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board) Cultural Competency training is a mandatory, state-approved professional development requirement for all licensed K-12 educators in Minnesota. It is designed to help teachers recognize their own biases and build inclusive, equitable classrooms.

This event is made possible with funding from Coalition To Increase Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers in MN. Additional support provided by Filipinx for Immigrant Rights & Racial Justice in MN (FIRM).
