What is the Youth Advisory Council?
As a Youth Champion on the Youth Advisory Council, you will play a key role in elevating the teaching profession by
using your voice to shape the future of the teaching profession
hands-on experiences in planning, messaging, and advocacy
connecting with educators, policymakers, and decision-makers
You will help inform why the teaching profession matters and how to inspire more young people to consider it as a career.
Youth Advisors Will…
Help drive the Elevate Teaching movement and provide input on programming and themes
Discuss challenges and opportunities in the teaching profession
Participate in committees focusing on areas of interest
Attend regular virtual meetings
Share your lived experience as a student to inform recommendations
Submit a short monthly reflection on progress and insights
