Teacher Appreciation Week: Celebrating YOU! May 6, 2026

 

Our recent Celebrating YOU! collaborative event honored MN teachers and educators changing the world one student at a time. We are grateful to our partners – Kids In Need Foundation UpLiFT Movement, Black Educators Alliance, and Hamline University CEUT

Summer Celebration. Klassics Kitchen + Cocktails

Black Educators Alliance, Ujima Collective, and Uplift Movement, in partnership with Elevate Teaching, successfully hosted an end-of-school year Summer Celebration to honor metro-area BIPOC teachers and educators and their allies.

Elevate Teaching Welcomes New Summer Interns Abbey, Jack, Helen and Olivia! 

Abbey Okafor, Helen Le Phan and Jack Sonder (University of St. Thomas) will be working on story gathering, data and research. Olivia (St. Olaf College) will be contributing to social media!

June 23rd Cultural Competency Training

 

Elevate Teaching assisted the Philippine Center of MN and Filipinx for Immigrants Rights & Racial Justice in MN (FIRM) in hosting a state-approved Cultural Competency Training for teachers and educators through a grant from the Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers.

 

Free Webinar: The Teacher Prep Roadmap

Interested in becoming a teacher? Join our collaborator TeachMN on July 30 for The Teacher Prep Roadmap, a free virtual session exploring certification pathways and offering expert guidance to help you choose the best path into the classroom.

Taking the Toolkit Further: New Resources to Support Educators to Grow and Thrive

Elevate Teaching announces the creation of NEW resources to help leaders facilitate conversations and inspire current educators. The collection of resources includes human-centered lesson plans that foster reflection, dialogue, and both personal and professional growth.

Elevate Teaching Founder Dr. Rose Chu Wins Global Excellence in Education Award in Las Vegas

Dr. Rose Chu, was honored with the prestigious Excellence in Education Award at the global Education 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas for her tireless devotion to restoring prestige to the teaching profession and to building inclusive pathways for teachers of color and American Indian teachers. 

Congratulations to Dr. Marci Levy-Maguire and Captivate Media and Intermediate School Districts 917, 287 and 916 for being a Silver Winner in The 2026 Telly Awards 

Elevate Teaching is incredibly proud of our Education Content Specialist, Dr. Marci Levy-Maguire, whose visionary work commissioning “A Special Purpose” docu-series prior to joining our team recently earned a prestigious Silver Distinction at the 2026 Telly Awards.
