PAVING THE WAY FOR THE FUTURE OF TEACHING:ELEVATE TEACHING CELEBRATION & LAUNCH EVENT

The Elevate Teaching movement is thrilled to announce the upcoming Celebration and Launch Event, set to take place on Thursday, May 11th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.,  both online and in person at the Minnesota Humanities Center. This event is being held in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week and the launch of the new messaging campaign for the Elevate Teaching movement. A special thank you goes out to the Minnesota Humanities Center as well as 240 Tutoring for being champion sponsors of the event. 

The teaching profession is one of the most important and impactful professions in our society. The Elevate Teaching movement is part of the state-funded Teacher Recruitment and Marketing Campaign focused on elevating the teaching profession to the respect it deserves and actively recruiting individuals to become teachers, especially from communities of color and American Indian communities in Minnesota. The movement seeks to activate a network of champions for the teaching profession and shift how we view, talk about and relate to the profession to include the profound impact teachers have in our society. 

The Elevate Teaching Celebration and Launch Event will feature engaging activities, delicious appetizers and beverages, a creative high school youth performance by VocalEssence’s Singers Of This Age, and a full line up of guest speakers including the 2022 Teacher of the Year, Sarah Lancaster.
